The urologist took our daughter (now 3) off prophylactic antibiotics and we just had to treat her for bacteria in her urine. We go back for more testing in January and will compare her kidney size.<br />I have read your blog too and yes, some of what you've written could be my life. :-) Nicole {Diverging Lives}https://www.blogger.com/profile/10923905770347687651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4910930722118469696.post-32843748422322314822012-10-09T22:54:05.948-07:002012-10-09T22:54:05.948-07:00I clicked over from your Ladybug Life Cycle post t...I clicked over from your Ladybug Life Cycle post to your special needs page when I noticed your son is wearing a weighted vest in the photo. (We've used those!) And here I see other familiarities. We have adopted 2 and fostered 22 kiddos, and both of our adopted boys have special needs. Our youngest was born with VUR, Grade V. He spent 42 days of his first 9 months in and out of the hospital all the time with UTIs. The surgical repair the urologist was going to do at 18 months was moved up 3 times and he ended up having the repair done at 9 months because his UTIs were happening one after another. He had multiple other issues but I sure can relate on this one! :) He is 10 now and hasn't had a UTI since surgery, and the urologist discharged him from his yearly kidney scans 5 years ago. (It took THAT LONG for the kidney to get back to a normal size.) I'll have to spend more time here when I'm able. I think we have a lot in common! :)Dawn @ The Momma Knowshttp://themommaknows.com/noreply@blogger.com
